Paradise On Earth With Vaishno Devi

Located in Trikuta hills, 13 km from Katra (in Jammu and Kashmir) at the height of 1560 m above sea level this town is the holy cave temple of Mata Vaishnodevi. This famous shrine allures millions of devotees from all over the world. Popularly known as Mata Rani, Vaishno Goddess is a manifestation of the Hindu Goddess Durga. It is believed that during the pooja and Aarti, Goddesses arrive at the Holy cave to pay their respect to Mata Rani. Devotees believe goddess herself calls the devotees to reach here.

Revered and highly believed in, thousands of Pilgrims visit each year to seek blessings and show unflinching faith in this temple. Vaishno Devi is a religious trekking destination where pilgrims walk about 13 km uphill to reach the little caves which are among one of the 108 Shakti Peetha. It takes about 6 to 9 hours depending on the fitness, age and weather conditions. Ponies and palanquins, as well as helicopter services, are available by various vendors to take you there at the top. The whole way is decently paved with lots of shops selling snacks, food items and various religious goods. The pilgrims show their dedication and enthusiasm by shouting slogans and singing songs in the praise of Maa Vaishnavi all along the road. Natural splendours at its acme can be enjoyed throughout the sojourn.

Tour itinerary

• Day - 1 : JAMMU ARRIVAL – KATRA (50 KMS)

• On arrival at Jammu Airport/Railway Station we will pick you from there and transfer you to Katra. Reach Katra & Check into the hotel and overnight stay in hotel.

• Day - 2 : KATRA – VAISHNODEVI – KATRA (14 KMS)

• Morning after breakfast have a trip to Mata Vaishno Devi Darshan. Mata Vaishno Devi is the holiest Hindu temple of Maa Shakti and also second most visited place temple in India. Mata Vaishno Devi tack is of 14km. You can also take ponies by your own for the track. After Darshan you will be back towards hotel for Overnight stay.

• Day - 3 : KATRA - SRINAGAR (140 Kms)(HOUSEBOAT)

• Morning after breakfast check out from the hotel drive to Srinagar. Arrival in Srinagar transfer to Houseboat. Evening you are free for explore for local market and can enjoy Shikara ride (by own). Overnight stay in Houseboat.

• Day - 4 : SRINAGAR LOCAL SIGHTSEEING

• Morning after breakfast check out from the Houseboat and transfer to hotel. Reach in hotel . After fresh up visit famous Mughal gardens like Nishat Garden, Shalimar Garden, Chashma Shahi, Pari Mahal/ Shakar Acharya Temple. In the evening go for a Shikara Ride on the famous Dal lake(at your own). Evening free of leisure. Overnight stay in Hotel.

• Day - 5 : SRINAGAR–SONAMARG (90 KMS) – SRINAGAR

• After breakfast leave with full day excursion for Sonamarg. Sonamarg – 90 Kms is also called as “The meadow of gold” has, as its backdrop, snowy mountains against a cerulean sky. Take a Pony ride out here and enjoy the White Mountains covered with snow and the River Sindh flowing through the valley. Evening return back to Srinagar. Dinner and overnight stay in the hotel at Srinagar.

• Day - 6 : SRINAGAR –GULMARG (55 KMS)

• After breakfast check out from the hotel and Drive to Gulmarg. Gulmarg, called as “Meadow of Flowers” Gulmarg is 55 Kms from Srinagar at an altitude of 8700-ft. Reach Gulmarg check in to the hotel and after fresh up enjoy pony ride and Gondola rides (on your won cost). Gulmarg ropeway have two phases, Gulmarg to Kungdoor (Phase 1), Kungdoor to Affarwat (Phase 2). After sightseeing return to Srinagar. Overnight stay in hotel.

• Day - 7 : GULMARG -PAHALGAM (140 KMS)

• Today after breakfast proceed towards "VALLEY OF SHEPHERDS" en route enjoy Saffron garden & Apple garden. On arrival check in to the hotel.. Evening return to the hotel. Overnight stay in the hotel.

• Day - 8 : PAHALGAM SIGHTSEEING

• Morning after breakfast Proceed to sightseeing .Pahalgam offers many options for walks, pony trekking, fishing and camping. Enjoy the valley of Pahalgam, Local sightseeing can be taken by the local jeep –Betab Valley ,Chandanwari and Aru (at your own cost).Evening back to hotel. Dinner overnight at the hotel.

• Day - 9 : PAHALGAM-PATNITOP SIGHTSEEING

• Today morning check out from the hotel and drive to Patnitop .On arrives in Patnitop Check into at hotel. After that Visit near by sightseeing in Patnitop. Dinner overnight at the hotel.

• Day - 10 : PATNITOP -JAMMU- DEPARTURE

• Morning after breakfast check out from the hotel and drive back to Jammu. Arrival in Jammu transfer Airport/Railway Station for your return trip…..
